Theater and Performance

Woah! Music!

This is me with my a cappella group, singing my solo on “Do You Wanna Do Nothing With Me” (opb. Lawrence).

For my other musical projects, check out the JHU AllNighters on Spotify.

Outside of a cappella, I play the guitar and piano, and sometimes sing on tracks that Matthew Polson produces.

I’ve directed shows

Here’s me a few days before the opening night of Hamlet, a professional show that I directed for the JHU Barnstormers on a massively reduced schedule. Nevertheless, the show was a roaring success, boasting the highest attendance rate in years (even during COVID). We brought the sadness of Denmark to Baltimore.

In terms of less-traditional theater, I’ve directed the semesterly skit for the JHU AllNighters for the past 3 years running, each one (both in my opinion and seen through continually increasing attendance rates) better than the last.

I’ve acted in so many shows it’s hard to keep track.

Pictured above is me in the one act play “Mary Just Broke Up With This Guy” during my freshman year. I’ve been in a few shows since then, such as “The Glass Menagerie” as Tom, directed by Gerrad Taylor, and “A Doll’s House: Part 2” as Torvald, directed by James Glossman.

I love the theater— it’s where I come alive. I’ve been acting since I was four and kept at it experience ever since. Past roles include Tony from “You Can’t Take It With You”, Grandpa Joe from “Willy Wonka”, and far too many others to list without your eyes glazing over.
